Heather R. Kampf
Operations & Client Services Specialist
Heather followed a non-traditional path from an 11-year professional running career to the finance industry. She applies the same level of commitment, consistency, and passion that was necessary for her to qualify for 5 Olympic Trials to the work she does at TruMix Advisors to provide Olympic-level service and care to our clients. As a former athlete, Heather believes in the value of coaching and loves the holistic, values-based approach to guiding our clients to their best lives.
Dog Lover
Heather's quirky Pomeranian pup, Dewey, is her pride and joy. Dewey loves all forms of attention (including negative) and is the social butterfly at the dog park.
Running "Royalty"
As a professional runner, Heather won 28 road mile races from 2011-2019, including 4 USA Championship Titles, which coined her the nickname on the American professional running circuit of 'Queen of the Road Mile'.
Wanderlust
Heather loves visiting new places, absorbing cultures different from her own, and enjoying the nature and beauty of the world.
YouTube Sensation
Heather was tripped and fell during a race but had an amazing comeback- the video went viral with the quite literal message: when you fall on your face, you have to find resilience within yourself to get back up.

More About Heather
Heather studied Kinesiology and Psychology at the University of Minnesota while also competing for the Gopher Women's Track and Cross Country Teams. She feels blessed to be a part of an incredible team that shared the success of 6 Big Ten Championship Team Titles, along with individually becoming a numerous time Big Ten Champion, an NCAA Champion, and 9xAll American. Following graduation, Heather took a wild leap into the professional running scene. Some performance highlights of her career include representing the United States at a World Indoor Championship in the 1500m and the Pan American Games in the 800m, and running a mile in under 4 minutes 20 seconds.
Following Heather's 'running retirement', the important ingredients she was looking for in her next career were:
1. Something that would make her feel like she is making a positive impact in the lives of others,
2. A career that would challenge her and have potential for future growth and learning, and
3. A workplace where she would be surrounded by good people who share her values of working hard but also prioritize time for family.
TruMix Advisors offered the full 'hat trick' of the elements Heather was looking for and she couldn't be more grateful to be a part of this team.
